Frequently asked questions
Who can participate?
The Mindful Walk is designed for adults and children above the age of 12. Unfortunately we cannot accomdate pets.
I have never meditated before, is this for me?
You don’t need previous meditation experience, nor fully understand what mindfulness is. This walk is for everyone! The Mindful Walk is a wonderful way to experience what mindfulness is all about, how simple the practice is and how good meditation can be! Everyone will be guided through all meditations, and if you can breath you can meditate!
What do I need to bring?
We encourage you to also wear comfortable clothes, walking shoes and sun protection.
When can I register?
Registration is open until 3pm on Saturday 17 February, or until sold out (this is a small community event, and there are limited places).
Can I get a refund?
Sorry but unfortunately no. If for whatever reason you can’t attend the event, we hope that you will still be pleased to still be contributing to the brilliant work done by Livin in suicide prevention and promoting mental health.
What do I do with my bags on the day?
It's best to minimise how many belongings you bring with you. Belongings brought along can be kept with you during the walk (e.g. in a small handbag or backpack), otherwise there will be a designated area in the Gardens to leave any large belongings. Please do not leave valuables in your bags. We do our best to care for your belongings. but we don't accept responsibility for lost or damaged goods.
What happens in the event of bad weather or other unexpected event?
We plan to continue, irrespective of rain, and use mother nature’s choice of weather as part of our whole Mindful experience! However, in the very unlikely circumstance that the event must be cancelled (say due to a sudden hurricane!) a cancellation email will be sent out and we will update our website with details. No refunds will be provided in this highly unlikely event.
